Next week while school’s out, we’ll have 2 kid-friendly events:
“Reptiles & Stories” will be held at 2 pm Monday, February 21, and feature JoAnn Nichols and her live reptiles. She’ll introduce us to some of the reptiles in her care, each of which has a story to share. One or more related stories will be read, too. Attendees will have a chance to ask questions as well.
Ms. Nichols will also bring a collection of shed skins, scutes, and scales that can be touched and examined— and visual displays. This presentation is intended for all ages. Young children — or any age child who might need help staying seated or remembering instructions —will need an adult companion. FREE.
JoAnn’s reptile rescue, Ivana Iguana, was recently on WCAX — check it out!:
And on Thursday February 24th at 11 am, we are delighted to offer “Cooking Fun with Bettie.” That’s Bettie of Montgomery Pizza and Subs, of course, who makes the most amazing food! Learn how to prepare an easy lunch or snack — we don’t know yet what’s on the menu, but it will be yummilicious (last year it was pizza) — and then eat it! For all ages. Young children will benefit from an adult companion on this one, too. Free.
