Montgomery Town Library will be 116!

The article at left, from 1950, informs us that Montgomery Town Library was “born” in 1895 on March 5. For many years, it resided in the home of one or other town librarian. Before finding its current home it also resided in a garage and in the space under the Town Clerk’s office, where the Teen Center now lives.

Many thanks to local historian, Scott Perry, for digging out this article for us!

Sounds like time for a birthday party? We think so! Please join us Saturday, March 5, for a Birthday Party and Open House, 11 am – 1pm. Refreshments will be served, including one of Bettie’s fabulous cakes!
