On Wednesday, November 3, at 6:30 p.m. at the Richford Town Hall, Ron Krupp will talk about his book, Lifting the Yoke : Local Solutions to America’s Farm and Food Crisis. Following Krupp’s lecture, he will be joined by local farmers and food vendors for more discussion.
Krupp — author, activist, farmer, and gardener –teaches at Heartbeet, a farm and community in Hardwick for adults with disabilities. He started the Brattleboro Farmers’ Market in the early 1970s and coordinated the Tommy Thompson Community Garden in Burlington’s Intervale for 15 years. A garden and farm commentator on VPR, his first book was The Woodchuck’s Guide to Gardening.
